It is often a good idea to check references whenever you are interviewing a potential contractor for your remodeling project. This gives you an objective way to find out some information from sources other than the contractor him/herself. Here are a few good questions to ask previous customers:

• Were you satisfied with the remodeler's business practices?
• Did the crew show up on time?
• Were you comfortable with the subcontractors on your job?
• Was the job completed on schedule?
• Did the remodeler fulfill his or her contract?
• Did the contractor stay in touch throughout the project?
• Were the final details finished in a timely manner?
• Would you use this contractor again without hesitation?
• Was the job site kept clean during the project?
• Was the remodeler professional, ethical, honest and fair throughout the
• Were you satisfied with the way the project was managed?
• Did any issues arise during the project? If so, how did the remodeler

What Our Clients Say
"From initial design to completed room addition, our experience with Daniel Mackey Construction has been a refreshingly pleasant one. They have been consistently on-time, on-budget, and on-call; quick to respond to our questions and concerns. They've been key problem solvers in designing solutions that are modern in execution, but match the arts and craft style of our 90+ year-old home. We are thrilled with the finished product and even more excited that we avoided the 'contractor nightmares' that so many others have experienced with other firms. We highly recommend Mackey Construction."
- Michelle Albertson
"We have worked with several contractors over the course of our 30 years as home owners. None has come close to the professionalism and quality of design Daniel Mackey Construction offered us on our recent remodeling project. Most contractors leave you with a sense that a shoe will drop and it does, but with Dan and Debbie there are no surprises, and that is extremely comforting."
